Leona Liu

Until March 2018, Leona was the Communications Lead and Head of Video Strategy for the Global Landscapes Forum at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). Prior to this role, she was the Editor of Forests News, CIFOR’s virtual news site. She formerly served as the director of communications for Danone’s CSR fund Livelihoods, working on topics concerning sustainable agriculture and greening supply chains. She previously worked as a print and TV journalist in Paris, France for leading international media including BusinessWeek, Reuters and the French international news channel France 24. Originally from New York, Leona holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and French from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a master’s degree in international affairs from l’Institut des Etudes des Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po Paris).
