GLF Africa 2022 by the numbers

An overview of the Global Landscapes Forum's 2022 digital conference on Africa

For the fifth time, the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) used its platform as the world’s largest knowledge-led organization on sustainable land use to draw the world’s attention to the African continent and its most pressing challenges, which, at present, are largely to do with food. On 15 September, GLF Africa 2022 ran as a fully-digital conference, joining people around the world together in discussions, plenaries, networking events, virtual tours of landscapes, exhibitions and more, in what resulted in being the GLF’s most attended and engaged-with African event yet. Here’s an overview of what happened. For some of the most important and powerful statements that were made, read our selection of top quotes, and for a full wrap-up, read here.
