BONN, Germany (Landscape News) – Move over Ted Talks — and make way for “Landscapes Talks” where leading scholars, scientists and experts will make a break from the conference PowerPoint lecture format to relay ideas on sustainable landscapes.
Some 35 presenters, including scientists Houria Djoudi, Terry Sunderland and Daniel Murdiyarso from the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), will speak about their areas of specialization in a seven-minute timeframe at the Global Landscapes Forum in Bonn, Germany.
Sonia Whitehead from BBC Media Action will explore how media drives change at the local level, Bruno Locatelli from the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) will make a case for the shift away from a carbon-centric approach to climate change, and Stephanie Doig and Andrew Collins from forestry company Miro will detail lessons learned from pioneering plantation forests in West Africa.
